Freshly prepared, cleanly presented foods. Geometrical cuts on the food preparation makes difference.
Using shaded natural light from the sunlight if possible.
If is table top photo shoot, use very bright lamp to show best detail close up food photos.
Tripod a must! Take time for the scene, balance the objects.
Use colors, garnish the food, stay away boring white plates!
Use the depth-of-field , blur the background, bring importance the dish carefully.
